Hotel Kuu Kyoto

Yo, waking up to the temple view every morning was unreal! The onsen after a long day out was just what I needed. Quality breakfast spread too, omelets and all. Only thing? Couch in our room was kinda tired, could use an upgrade. Otherwise, the vibe and staff were great-definitely felt at home here.

The staff was impeccably polite and was always available for assistance.

Unfortunately, the breakfast buffet was overpriced, especially for western options which were limited. The view from the temple-facing room was not worth the high price, with the busy road outside making it hard to enjoy. I was also disappointed by the overall cleanliness, as dust was noticeable in various corners of our room.

The rooms are spotless here with comfortable beds, a View of the Temple plus a mini-fridge. The breakfast variety is gorgeous with the best yoghurt in Japan, perfectly baked croissants and also the best yoghurt, outstanding service

It was fantastic, modern and with comfortable beds. The staff were all immensely pleasant and incredibly nice. The location was marvellous and beautiful there, in Gion area. In El Pollo you could have Japanese meals.

The location near Kyoto Station made exploring so easy. I enjoyed the fine view of the temple from my room-definitely a highlight. The traditional Japanese bath was a perfect way to unwind after a long day. I appreciated the breakfast with its mix of local Japanese dishes and some satisfying Western options. The internet connection was pretty unreliable. I also found the room a bit outdated, especially the mattress which was not very comfortable. Staff were friendly but could have been more helpful when I brought up some cleanliness issues. A solid stay, but some updates are needed.

The hotel was luxury, location was beautiful in a quiet neighbourhood, satisfactory breakfast.

The beds were extra large, I slept well. Gorgeous and satisfactory breakfast with real good coffee and the best yoghurt, for example, it had so much choice;)))

Kuu in Kyoto has a killer location near Kyoto Station and charming Higashi Hongan ji Temple. The breakfast spread's awesome, with fresh local options. Just be ready for thin mattresses if you're with kids-but they helped us out with extra ones!

Window designs lack clarity. AC emits an odd smell. Outdated room amenities need attention. Cleanliness issues like dust on surfaces. Comforter needs replacing due to poor condition.

The atmosphere stands out with beautiful entrance decor and really good public baths. A highlight was the breakfast, with classic local dishes that were good. While the location is ideal for exploring the area, the room amenities felt slightly dated, and the cleanliness could use improvement in some corners. The double beds, although wide, could benefit from a refresh as they were showing signs of wear.

Kuu exceeded my expectations in kyoto! The breakfast buffet featured both local and western dishes, a good surprise. The room was spacious and clean.

Onsen was great! Luggage storage convenient, but air conditioning could be quieter.

Kuu offers a great stay with its clean rooms and excellent service. The location is conveniently walkable to Kyoto Station. The breakfast selection was excellent, with a good mix of traditional Japanese dishes and local treats. The staff's attentiveness was particularly noteworthy, as they assisted with luggage transport in a timely manner, great for a smooth transition to the next destination.

Free wi-fi and 24-hour reception were great, but room felt a bit small.

The staff was attentive, offering a warm welcome drink and providing invaluable assistance with our travel plans! Breakfast was a highlight, with a good mix of local and western dishes. Even some homemade treats.
